Another Heaven and Another Jesus!

When I compare the descriptions of heaven in the Book of Revelation with the descriptions of heaven by, e.g., Roberts Liardon and Sandy Brown, I have to conclude that they have been to very different places. The deep awe and reverence for Jesus that we find in the Apostle John is totally lacking in the descriptions given by these preachers. In Revelation, Jesus is seen to be holy. The Apostle John does not start by telling some kind of cosy story to Jesus when he meets Him at Patmos. John is not running around having fun in heaven — No! — he bows down to God’s holiness in reverence and awe. He had come to heaven because Jesus willed him to come, and he is gripped by the message of Jesus to the churches.

In contrast to this, the message from Liardon’s Jesus is that there are new and healthy spare body-parts in heaven just for the taking. We need not ask God for healing, but can simply go and claim the healthy spare-parts ourselves! This message is totally in line with the doctrine of Hagin. He, too, is teaching that we ought not to pray to God, but rather to take care of our own health and financial prosperity.

The Bible’s message is totally different from that of Liardon about fetching health from the heavenly store without praying to God, and it is just as different from Sandy Brown’s message about our being able to use the creative power of words.

It is noticeable that none of the Faith preachers who have told of their alleged visits to heaven have made any mention of Jesus asking any question regarding their doctrine.

In contrast, when Jesus revealed Himself to the Apostle John, Jesus spoke sharply to those churches who had not rejected doctrinal error (Revelation 2-3). Why did their “Jesus” not mention anything about the erroneous doctrines of movements like the Faith movement to the preachers who claim to have met Him in heaven? As far as I am concerned, it is unthinkable that the real Jesus of the Bible would not have done this!
