Movements like the Faith movement are a mixture of Bible-based Christianity and another gospel. The teachings do contain a fair amount of truth, and the true elements may well result in some positive fruit. Some ministers who are active in the Faith movement, or at least linked with it, are more sound than others; and they make admirable efforts to reach the lost with the Gospel. Furthermore, some of them tend to preach the essentials of the Gospel rather than the Faith teachings; and they hold big crusades with co-operation from Christians of various denominations. The dangerous aspect is their link-up with the Faith movement, and this link may bring people into contact with other preachers who could lead them astray with their erroneous teachings and practices.
Some people get a general understanding of the true Gospel by listening to Faith teachers; whereas, others will get totally caught up in another gospel that contradicts the true Gospel. The outcome may depend on who they listen to, how and when they listen; and different people are affected in different ways. But no one can remain totally unaffected by the bad elements. For some this will lead to disaster, both from a spiritual and a mental, or social, point of view. And the errors can often do even more harm when they are hidden by the true elements, because the good points make it very difficult to detect where things are wrong.
